Daybreak

The Great Rays bring color and light
as we roll into the eastern sky
and I wonder as I wander
why you thought
I thought you needed
only what I want

This thing I want of you
’tis madness to reveal
in a world driven adrift
by psychopaths
discretion begs me to conceal

A simple truth
God’s great conveyance
where lies do cease in silent smile
and thoughts are held but in abeyance

My needing hangs in moments
fleeting
rolling onward towards the eastern sky
